Jonny's Berlin Marathon

Story

At the end of September, I am taking on the challenge of running the Berlin Marathon.

Those that know me know that I love a challenge, although this is a cause close to my heart. A few years ago, a family friend sadly lost his battle with cancer: putting this into perspective he was the same age as me and his life was cut way too short.

It is for this reason I am fundraising for my chosen charity, one that was so important and pivotal in Josh's care and support throughout his illness. Every penny raised in Josh's name goes directly to the Activities Fund of the Young Oncology Unit. A wonderful group of people arrange trips out, events and on-ward activities. These morale boosting times help patients see beyond their new world which resolves around hospital admissions, appointments and gruelling treatments.

So please dig deep and give generously for an amazing cause in the name of a more amazing young man.

Thank you.
